The 82 Alliance, a not-for-profit mobility think tank reimagining how people move throughout our communities, would like to welcome and recognize Julie Bond, Director of the Transportation Options Program at the University of South Florida’s Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR).
She leads nationally recognized initiatives focused on transportation demand management (TDM), commuter benefits, workplace mobility strategies, and safety outreach. Julie also serves as Program Director for Best Workplaces for Commuters (BWC), a role she has held since 2007. In this capacity, she works with employers nationwide to advance innovative commuting solutions and improve workforce mobility. In addition, she is an instructor for the TDM Professionals Learning Series, helping build capacity and professional expertise across the transportation demand management field.
Prior to relocating to Florida, Julie worked at the Utah Transit Authority, where she developed foundational experience in public transportation and commuter-focused programs, experience that continues to inform her work in employer-based behavior change and mobility strategies.
Julie holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Southern Utah University. She has also served as a League Cycling Instructor (LCI) since 2017 and enjoys cycling as much as she enjoys helping others travel safely, efficiently, and sustainably.
“I’m honored to join The 82 Alliance Board and collaborate with professionals who are deeply committed to how transportation systems serve people and communities. Creating safer, more connected networks requires thoughtful dialogue, shared learning, and practical implementation. I look forward to contributing my experience and working together to advance solutions that improve access and mobility.” - Julie Bond
