On October 3, 2019, Best Workplaces for Commuters held “On the Road to Learning … Moving People To & From Your Campus” webinar in which professionals from top universities detailed their experiences with managing parking, traffic flow, schedules, and the many demands from commuters to and from their campuses.
Managing demand is never easy. Often universities face unique challenges such as constrained parking, demanding customers, diverse schedules, and annual turnover of large share of their commuters. Many also part of business units that need to generate revenue to be self-supporting. This webinar featured two universities who also are Best Universities for Commuters. Representatives from George Mason University and Harvard University spoke about how they have adapted to their challenges to deliver a wide range of transportation options for their diverse communities of commuters. .
