Large office campuses and employment sites can face unique transportation challenges as they serve employees, visitors, tenants, and other stakeholders in a single location. In this BWC In Focus session, learn how organizations can develop and support commuter benefits and transportation options that improve access and mobility for the people who work at and visit their sites. Guest speaker Zakaria Mawloud of the Washington Metropolitan Airports Authority (MWAA), a designated BWC Best Site, will share strategies for promoting commuter benefits, engaging employers and employees, and addressing evolving transportation needs across a diverse site community. Through real-world examples and lessons learned, attendees will explore approaches to strengthening commuter programs, encouraging sustainable transportation choices, and enhancing the employee and visitor experience at their own sites.

Zak Mawloud serves as the Landside and Airside Contracts Division Manager at Washington Dulles International Airport, where he leads the management of airport business relationships, commercial agreements, and transportation programs. He oversees contracts, leases, and permits for airlines, rental car companies, concessionaires, and for-hire ground transportation providers, including transportation network companies, taxis, and other operators.
