Augsburg College located in Minneapolis, MN has met the Standard of Excellence and is designated a Best Workplace for Commuters.  Augsburg students, faculty, and staff take advantage of subsidized monthly transit passes that greatly reduce the costs of riding the bus or using the light rail. During the school year, Associated Colleges of the Twin Cities (ACTC) buses run between Augsburg College and Macalester College, the University of St. Thomas, St. Catherine University, and Hamline University, providing access to and from numerous locations in St. Paul.

Bike commuters take advantage of Augsburg College’s close proximity to the metro area’s extensive bike trail system and the Midtown Greenway, just a few blocks south of campus. To further encourage the use of alternative forms of transportation, the college serves as an HOURCAR hub, offering a Honda Prius (with a hybrid gas-electric engine) for those inevitable short jaunts off-campus.
