2017 Emergency Ride Home Survey Results and How to Get on the 2018 BWC List Release
Thursday, August 24, 2017 2:00:00 PM EDT – 3:00:00 PM EDT
This Best Workplaces for Commuters webinar featured Phil Winters, Director of the TDM program at the Center for Urban Transportation Research who reviewed the results of the Emergency ride home (ERH) survey conducted earlier this summer.
ERH programs are commonly described as an inexpensive form of commuter insurance to support those who regularly use an alternative to driving alone to work. ERH programs reassure transit users, carpoolers, walkers, bicycle commuters, and vanpoolers that they have a timely and inexpensive way to leave work in the event of a personal or family emergency, illness, or unexpected job-related delay.
Julie Bond, BWC’s project manager, also provided an overview of the Best Workplaces for Commuters application process, how to get on the 2018 BWC List Release and how to use the BWC media kit and press release.
