- ITAC – The Telework
Advisory Group for World at Work
Founded in 1993, ITAC is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to
advancing the growth and success of work independent of location. ITAC
includes Fortune 500 firms and federal government agencies as its members.
On January 1, 2005, WorldatWork acquired all of the assets of ITAC and
ITAC is now identified as ITAC, the Telework Advisory Group for WorldatWork.
Both WorldatWork and ITAC are 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organizations.
- The Telework Coalition
The Telework Coalition brings together a diverse array of organizations,
companies, and individuals with the common interest of promoting awareness
and adoption of existing and emerging Telework and Telecommuting applications
including telemedicine and distance learning, as well as addressing
access to broadband services that may be needed to support these applications.
- Telework Consortium
The Telework Consortium Inc. assists public agencies and private companies
to plan and implement robust telework and distributed work programs.
The organization discovers, evaluates and demonstrates the field-ready
hardware and software, management processes, infrastructure configurations,
measurement techniques and best practices that are likely to speed the
early adoption of cost-effective, easy-to-use designs and technologies
for working and collaborating from remote locations.
- GSA – Telework
Teleworking is a practical solution to environmental and other quality
of life issues, as well as work life challenges. The Office of Personnel
Management and GSA are lead agencies for the federal teleworking initiative.
The GSA Governmentwide Telework Team serves as the nexus for policy
development, outreach, and collaborative partnerships to further the
advancement of telework throughout the federal government.

- Telework Exchange
The Telework ExchangeSM is a public-private
partnership focused on eliminating telework gridlock. The Telework Exchange
focuses on demonstrating the tangible value of Federal telework initiatives,
serving the emerging education and communications requirements of the
Federal teleworker community, and measuring Federal agencies’
progress on telework requirements.
- Teletrips
Teletrips helps create, implement and manage public-private partnership
programs to reduce commuter congestion, improve air quality, and reduce
energy consumption. Teletrips joins with municipalities, states, provinces,
the federal and international governments to design and implement incentives
to encourage a sustainable approach to commuter transportation. These
incentives may be achieved through public funding or through pure market-based
approaches such as emissions trading.
