ACT is an international membership organization of Transportation Demand
Management (TDM) professionals which promotes transportation solutions
through annual conferences on commuting and educational materials for
employers.

Organizations (AMPO) –

AMPO is membership organization for metropolitan planning organizations
(MPOs) nationwide that offers technical assistance and training, conferences
and workshops, frequent print and electronic communications, research,
a forum for transportation policy development and coalition building,
and a variety of other services.

CarSharing.net is a non-profit educational and promotional site, supporting
the car sharing industry in North America.

Transportation Research (CUTR) Listserv and Helpdesk-
This site, maintained by the National Center for Transit Research at
the University of South Florida, hosts the TDM Listserv, a forum where
975 members share transportation-related information. It also provides
information on transportation demand management (TDM) and telework programs.

This site lists service providers around the country and provides detailed
commute information for a number of metro areas.
- Federal Interagency Telework/Telecommuting
Site -
This Web site, run by the U.S. General Services Administration and the
U.S. Office of Personnel Management, provides access to telework and
telecommuting guidance issued by both agencies, provides the locations
of telework centers, and describes federal agency policies.

Association & Council (ITAC) -
ITAC, now part of WorldatWork, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated
to advancing the economic, social, and environmental benefits of telework.
ITAC includes Fortune 500 firms and federal government agencies as its
members.

It All Adds Up is a unique public education and partnership-building
initiative to help regional, state and community efforts to reduce traffic
congestion and air pollution. It All Adds Up seeks to inform the public
about the connection between their transportation choices, traffic congestion
and air pollution, and emphasizes simple, convenient actions people
can take to improve air quality and reduce congestion.

Clearinghouse -
The Promotional Materials Clearinghouse, a project of the Marketing
Institute at Florida State University's College of Business, is funded
by the Florida Department of Transportation. The Clearinghouse is an
online archive of transit and TDM marketing materials and other resources
that facilitate sharing of ideas among public transportation professionals
throughout the U.S. and Canada.
- Teletrips.com -
Developed in consultation with the EPA and DOT, Teletrips.com tracks
trip reduction program outcomes, identifies the number of commute miles
avoided because of telecommuting / teleworking, and quantifies the benefits
of “green” commutes, measuring the amounts of reduced nitrogen
oxides, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and volatile organic compounds.
The Web site includes a calculator that enables the user to determine
the reductions in air pollution that would occur as a result of switching
to teleworking or to a “green” commute.
