Want your ads and PSAs to get results?

Consider these tips…

Our September 2 Strategy Session "Create ads and PSAs that get action" was excellent! We especially want to thank our speakers Peggy Hetherington (Metropool), Anne Marie Thornton (Commuter Connections), and Sara Burr (Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources) for sharing their outstanding tips and experiences in creating effective ads and PSAs that effect change in commuter behavior.

Below are a few tips to help you in planning your media campaign. These tips are attributed to the Mobility Branding Research that Peggy Hetherington shared with us:

  1. Use incentives or rewards as part of your campaign strategy.
  2. The idea of "resting the car," using public transit once a month, and economic benefits associated with taking public transit/vanpooling are more compelling than the "all or nothing" approach.
  3. Using humor is more effective than serious facts and figures.
