Step 9: Plan a Media Announcement

One of the important reasons employers apply is to receive recognition and media attention. Therefore, a well-planned media announcement is critical to the success of your effort. There are a number of different options:

Media Advisory

At least 24 hours prior to an event where you announce your Best Workplaces for Commuters list to the press, be sure to send out a press advisory to media outlets in your area. Here's an example of an advisory used by the folks in the Triangle Region of North Carolina.
