Step 7: Respond to Interested Employers

As you begin inviting employers to apply, many will have questions about the program. Prior to this stage, CUTR will work with you to explain the program and its participation requirements. You may also want to familiarize yourself with the program and potential questions and answers (51K MS Word). You can also review the criteria for qualifying on the Do We Qualify page.

Depending on how many employers in your area apply to become a BWC, the verification process can be quite time-consuming. To help streamline the verification process and provide a record of the progress you are making, consider using a tracking log. When your list release is completed, you'll have the benefit of documentation you can use for presentations to your Board of Directors, future collaboration with coalition partners, applications for grants, and other beneficial uses.
