List Release Guide
After your media announcement, watch for local media coverage of your list release. Media coverage may extend for more than a month after the announcement. Consider summarizing your media results to illustrate the effectiveness of your list release, drawing from the samples below. Also, be sure to thank your coalition partners and task force for their support. It's a good idea to conduct a post-announcement evaluation meeting with these partners to identify everything that went well and what changes you will incorporate for next year's list. It's never too soon to start planning next year's list release! Maintaining Momentum Running a successful BWC list release effectively increases awareness of local congestion and air quality issues and recognizes local employers that are helping to improve community quality of life. To sustain momentum, it’s important to continue promoting BWC throughout the year, encouraging employers to apply for the annual list on a rolling basis. After you announce your list, consider these strategies to maintain momentum (106K PDF) in year 2 and beyond:
Also, be sure to keep CUTR apprised of your activities to ensure continued successful coordination! Join the BWC Network and share your experiences with others who are working on list releases in their communities. You can become a leader in the nationwide expansion of the BWC program and continue to enhance your own annual list releases by learning from others in the Network as well.
