List Release Guide

Step 1: Get Organized

A successful Best Workplaces for CommutersSM list release requires planning. An important first step is to get organized and assess what’s involved in carrying out a list release campaign.

To help you begin the planning process, review our checklist. This will provide a starting point and will serve as a framework for your initial discussions with CUTR. It will also help you verify that all of the key building blocks—such as a strong transportation infrastructure and a regional emergency ride home program—are in place for a successful effort.

Also, review the list of frequently asked questions. Key questions include: what geographic area will be covered? who might be a good coalition partner? should you consider an overall theme (one community used “put a feather in your cap” and handed out feathers and caps to qualifying employers)?

As you move forward, we encourage you to contact a CUTR representative for assistance in planning your outreach efforts.
