St. Louis Region's
Best Workplaces for CommutersSM
On June 30, 2004, a regional coalition announced the St. Louis
Region's 2004 List of Best Workplaces for Commuters. Twenty-six
area employers received the prestigious designation from EPA as one
of the Best Workplaces for Commuters. Each of these employers provide
excellent commuting benefits to their employees such that they meet
the National Standard of Excellence for commuter benefits.
The American Lung Association, Citizens for
Modern Transit, RideFinders, the St. Louis Regional Clean Air Partnership,
and other local organizations have formed the St. Louis Region's Best
Workplaces for Commuters Coalition. Together these groups are encouraging
employers located in the St. Louis metropolitan area to get on the list
and receive the national and local recognition they deserve for offering
outstanding commuter benefits, thereby, improving air quality, traffic
congestion, and quality of life for their employees.
