Air
Districts of the Sacramento Region 
The Air Districts work with local, state, and federal government agencies,
the business community, and private citizens to achieve and maintain healthy
air quality. Their overall mission is to achieve clean air goals by leading
the region in protecting public health and the environment through innovative
and effective programs, dedicated staff, community involvement, and public
education. Air Districts in the coalition include: Sacramento Metropolitan
Air Quality Management District, El Dorado County Air Pollution Control
District, Feather River Air Quality Management District, Placer County
Air Pollution Control District, and the Yolo-Solano Air Quality Management
District.
American Lung Association
of Sacramento-Emigrant Trails 
The American Lung Association of Sacramento-Emigrant Trails is a voluntary
nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting clean air, healthy lungs,
and the elimination of lung disease. This local grassroots organization
was originally founded in 1917 and is dedicated to making our communities
better places to live and breathe. With an emphasis on youth programs
and health preservation, the Lung Association is paving the way to a healthier
future. Core programs include tobacco prevention, asthma and clean air
education, and advocacy in a nine-county area.
Sacramento Area Council
of Governments 
Sacramento Area Council of Governments' (SACOG) primary charge is to provide
regional transportation planning and funding, as well as a forum for the
study and resolution of regional issues. SACOG prepares the region's long-range
transportation plan; approves distribution of affordable housing around
the region; keeps a regionwide database for its own and local agency use;
helps counties and cities use federal transportation funds in a timely
way; assists in planning for transit, bicycle networks, clean air, and
airport land uses; and is undertaking a new program to link transportation
and land development more closely.
Sacramento Area Human
Resources Association 
The Sacramento Area Human Resource Association (SAHRA) is an organization
of more than 750 human resource professionals representing private and
public sector employers in the greater Sacramento Area. SAHRA provides
a forum for networking and the interchange of ideas and information related
to the issues of human resource management, promotes a human resource
voice in the community through civic responsibility, partnership with
education and recognition of diversity, aids in the advancement of professional
development for all members by providing informative monthly meetings,
annual and semi-annual workshops or seminars and training for completion
of professional certification, provides political and legislative advocacy
by monitoring local, state, and national actions to ensure that the needs
and concerns of human resource professionals are represented in the political
decision-making process, and furnishes superior member support services
and access to information relating to the human resource management issues.
SAHRA is affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management.
Sacramento Metropolitan
Chamber of Commerce 
The Sacramento Metro Chamber is the second largest chamber in California,
with 2,500 members in a region that encompasses Sacramento, El Dorado,
Placer, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba Counties. The Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber
of Commerce is a catalyst in transforming the Sacramento region into an
international center for commerce, learning, culture, and recreation.
The Metro Chamber works on behalf of business, advocating for economic
prosperity to keep the region vital for commerce and families. In its
mission to foster regional economic prosperity, the Metro Chamber also
provides business people with networking, visibility, and educational
opportunities.
