On August 25, 2004 the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) and a coalition of local government and business organizations announced the 2004 list of Houston's Best Workplaces for CommutersSM.

When it comes to commuter benefits, each of these employers is distinguishing itself from the competition. By offering exceptional commuter benefits to their employees, these top-performers are making the commute to work a more positive experience for thousands of local workers and demonstrating a strong commitment to improving the region's air quality.
