Colorado's Best Workplaces for CommutersSM
On April 28, 2004, EPA and a statewide coalition of government and business organizations announced the first list of Colorado's Best Workplaces for CommutersSM. The list, which features 151 employers representing nearly 90,000 workers, spotlights the state's best employers when it comes to offering outstanding commuter benefits. EPA also recognized four Best Workplaces for Commuters Districts in Colorado:
City of Aspen, Downtown
Boulder, FlatIron Shopping
District, and the Stapleton
Area. In each District, an organization such as a downtown district,
developer, or property manager is breaking new ground by providing a high
caliber of commuter benefits to area employers and employees. As a result,
the commuter benefit packages offered by these Districts provide 32,000
commuters at nearly 1,600 organizations a variety of transportation alternatives
and incentives.
